Deborah A. Stauring


As a co-founder of Elleverage, Inc., Deborah has spent decades in the financial services industry. Most recently her firm was among one of the leading groups of advisors that transitioned to the Raymond James Investment Advisor Division. Deborah is a highly respected leader in the RIA space and has had much input on best practices. Once with a Buffalo-owned brokerage firm Harold C. Brown & Co., Deborah, as an owner, transitioned their clients from commission to fee-based and eventually started her own RIA, Winthrop Financial, Inc.

Deborah began working in the financial industry in 1980, and has a strong background in finance and economics. She is a Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Financial Consultant and Accredited Investment Fiduciary, and embraces continual learning to stay updated on all the relevant financial planning and market topics. Over her more than 37 years, Deborah has been implementing and executing compliance programs and monitoring her advisors as the firm’s Chief Compliance Officer. Her strong understanding of the advisory business provides her the ability to effectively incorporate controls and systems to promote compliance and mitigate risk.

Deborah has collaborated with her clients to provide personalized wealth management programs that included investment selection, portfolio construction and retirement planning. Deborah is a zealot in creating the most efficient processes possible to provide timely services and management of the ever-changing financial products, investor tastes and risk, and the multi-generational needs of a client focused firm.

Deborah has a passion for providing services to financial advisors from the wire houses and regional firms that allows them to experience the same freedom and success that she has had as an independent advisor. She understands that advisors are the stewards of their clients’ financial well-being and takes the role and responsibilities of a fiduciary seriously.

She enjoys spending her free time with her husband, twin sister, family and two dogs, and at their camp in the Adirondacks. She is an active member in her community through Junior Achievement, is on the board of the Hull House Foundation, has a passion for conducting financial education workshops, and is proud of her lineage and very involved with the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Jennifer D. Roberts

Chief Operating Officer

Jennifer has spent over 23 years in the financial services industry and has a deep knowledge for the back office operations. Co-founder of Elleverage Inc., she has been a liaison with many platforms including Advest, Wachovia, Pershing, and Raymond James. There is no one better in the industry when it comes to the back office operations of an RIA. Over the years she has developed and implemented top industry processes such as the full client onboarding process offered by Elleverage. It is her top priority to ensure the clients’ requests are coordinated with team members and that all needs are being met in an efficient and effective manner.

Jennifer has been an integral component in transitioning many large teams of advisors to new custodians and platforms, and in turn has gained incredible institutional knowledge. Internally she has assisted advisors with the succession transition of their business.

Most recently with Winthrop Financial, Inc., as the firm’s Registered Paraplanner, Jennifer worked closely with clients and advisors in all areas encompassing the financial planning process. She is currently enrolled with The American College in the Chartered Financial Consultant curriculum working towards the ChFC® designation.

Jennifer previously served on the Raymond James Investment Advisory Division Technology Committee and takes pleasure in evaluating new technology that culminates in making both the client and the advisor’s experience a little better.

For Elleverage, Jennifer will look after day-to-day activities as it relates to client relationship services, goal planning and technology. She believes providing exceptional client service is a must, allowing the advisor to focus on growing their business.

At her home in Lake View, New York, Jennifer and her husband Terrance enjoy spending free time with their three children, grandson, family, and many friends. They are actively involved in many community events, especially youth sports.
